iPhone 5s and 5c: New models, new cases

Once again, the smart phone market as well as their accessories counterparts that are selling the latest iPhone 5 cases is fluctuating and reacting to the newest ever releases of the top consumer electronics conglomerate in the world, Apple Inc. It has been a year since the company released the iPhone 5, which was named as 2012’s best-selling smart phone and now, barely a week ago, the company released the iPhone 5s and 5c, two new models with subtle (but telling differences). Currently, it has gained a lot of favorable reviews from a lot of consumers.

The day it was released was marked by long lines and about-to-be users who are waiting in sheer anticipation, worldwide. However, even with the latest features and the recently upgraded operating system (which the phones are equipped with and was released a few weeks ago) the two new models are still vulnerable to all sorts of damage which can be sustained through everyday use. The 5s’ aluminum shell (with three color themes, black slate, white marble and gold) may seem enough to quell the damage that can be sustained, but quite frankly, it is as slim as the kind of protection it provides. The 5c’s shell meanwhile is composed of plastic polycarbonate reinforced by a rigid steel frame. This may seem enough to protect it, but it would not be able to take a bullet for you.
Accessory manufacturers have immediately developed cases for the new models, but take note; the new models are the same in size and dimensions as the iPhone 5, so you can reuse them if you wish. Here are some of the latest iPhone 5s and 5c cases:

Puregear Grip Tek

This case does not utilize the traditional materials that are being used by most companies. Instead of a polycarbonate shell and silicone, it makes use of rubberized plastic, ensuring light, yet quality protection. It emphasizes reinforced protection in the corners which makes your device seemingly impenetrable on the sides.

Incipio NGP

This company is pretty well-known and loved by consumers due to its sleek and aesthetically appealing designs. The NGP case underscores this. This case is characterized by a soft shell protection technology that is resistant to everyday wear and tear and at the same time, providing quality protection from bumps, shocks and scratches. Lastly, its aesthetic appearance pretty much makes it stand out, due to its smooth, sleek matte finish.

Built to stand extreme environment and harsh conditions, the Griffin Survivor is definitely one of the cases that you must choose when you are looking for a cover that emphasizes extreme protection. The company is known for their extremely durable and highly protective cases, and the Survivor definitely lives up to this reputation. Basically, this case is made up of three protective layers; the first is a thick polycarbonate shell which absorbs most of the force. The 2nd layer is silicone which prevents any of the force from reaching the device. Lastly, the third layer is a membrane that prevents the fingers (or anything) from making direct contact with the phone screen, effectively shielding it from all sorts of damage.
